Healing with numbers By : SUZANNA PILLAY

Lenis says numerology can help people identify their true talents.

Numerology is a New Age tool that can be used to achieve wellness and true potential, says a Kodiko numerologist. SUZANNA PILLAY finds out more.

IT’S hard to think of something like numerology being able to affect your wellbeing, but Dr Dimitrios Lenis is adamant that Kodiko numerology is a powerful new age tool for total mind and body wellness.

Renowned as Asia’s master of numerology with followers from Taiwan, Hong Kong and many other Asian countries, Lenis is a nutritionist and chiropractor and is also highly regarded in the field of natural healing.

He uses Kodiko numerology to identify peoples’ psychological and emotional types to reveal their mind-body and mind-diet issues, which then tells him the right combination of diet, exercise or other therapies required to solve their problems.

Lenis was in Kuala Lumpur recently to conduct a workshop to help participants understand their personality and emotional state, learn about compatibility, identify new opportunities and how to avoid negative influences that distract them from achieving their true purpose.
He found much of what he was taught at school “had little effect, so I started developing more intensive techniques and eventually created a system of healing that requires therapy on three levels: Mind, Diet, and Body.”

If Kodiko sounds like Greek to you, it is. It is based on a philosophy created 2,500 years ago by the ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician, Pythagoras.

“He believed that all things in nature had specific frequencies which influenced each other and numerology was the language in which their influences was expressed. Numerology was a method of seeing everything in the world in terms of numbers to reveal the invisible influences of things.”

“Kodiko” means secret code in Greek and is a system Lenis developed over the last 20 years from researching Pythagoras’s ideas of using numbers to understand the influence of all things in our environments.

“This allows us to know ourselves on all levels including psychological, spiritual, emotional, nutritional, physical, etc. The idea has been proven by modern physics and these mostly invisible and inaudible frequencies can and do affect us,” said Lenis.

This, he explained, is why for example the energy produced by our mobile phones or the electromagnetic fields produced by electronic circuits can affect health and has been proven to do so negatively in some studies.

Unfortunately, over the last few 100 years, Pythagoras’s philosophy was corrupted, causing numerology to become a type of superstition.

“People started believing that their names or their birthdays determined their fate. It is absurd to believe that every person in the world born on the same day will have the same personality or even that all twins have the same personality because it is simply not true.

“However, it can be said that having a specific birthday will bring some influence just as listening to music can change the way we feel. But it is only one small part. We also need to look at the person, his interests, his way of dressing and grooming, his ethnic and religious background, whether he was the first, second, third, etc, child, and many more things. Then we combine all these influences to identify personality types, talents, weaknesses, etc.”

He said numerology could help people identify their true talents and what careers would fully utilise their skills... making each day at work fun and exciting, and so minimising stress.

“Stress is the biggest factor in causing a break down of health. There are many types of stress that can hurt you, but two of the worst include being stuck in a job you don’t like or having bad relationships with others.

“To live a truly sustainable lifestyle, you need to not only eat and exercise correctly, but you need to have a career that you love. You need to wake up every morning and feel excited about going to work! If you are not happy about the way you spend every day, you will age quickly and your immune system will be weak, eventually causing you to develop any number of dangerous diseases,” he says.

Lenis said this was probably the most important aspect of sustainable living and why he developed Kodiko numerology. “When you do what you love in life, eat the right foods and do the right exercises for your body and psychological type, you have a truly sustainable life.”

He believes the way to stay healthy comes down to three things: mind, body and diet.

1. Mind includes psychological health, feeling happy in your career, having healthy emotional status, healthy relationships and clear life goals and or a spiritual reason for living.

2. Diet includes getting enough pure water and air, eating the right foods, avoiding allergy foods and toxins and getting enough sun exposure on your skin.

3. Body includes getting good quality sleep, getting enough exercise that develops muscles throughout your body, a healthy sex life, getting regular massages, hugs from people you love and plenty of laughter!

This is sound advice and another alternative healing method that's worth trying.
